The Help by Kathryn Stockett

If you haven't read "The Help" yet, you've missed a treat! Shooting has begun here in Mississippi for the movie, and I can't wait for the finished product. This is one of those books that you tell everyone about. I couldn't put it down; it held me captive.

The story revolves around the maids, all African-American, who work in the homes of white society women. It gives us insight into the way they were treated by their employers and their friends, as well as their lives outside of their work.

Ms. Stockett tells a wonderful story. It left me satisfied, yet wanting more. I wait with great anticipation for her next novel.

Beginnings

I am just now beginning this blog thing. I hope to review books, tell of life with grandchildren, talk about living with the pain of fibromyalgia, and anything else that pops into the mind of the almost 52 year old crazy woman!!! Please forgive the mistakes. I've never blogged before. Suggestions are appreciated!
